Persevering in Suffering and Entrusting Oneself to God

1 Peter 4:12-19

4
Chapter 4
12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial among you, which comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But to the extent you share in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, so that also at the revelation of his glory you may rejoice exulting. 14 If you are reproached in the name of Christ, blessed are you, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. 15 For none of you should suffer as a murderer, thief, evildoer, or meddler in others' affairs. 16 But if as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this name. 17 because the time has come for judgment to begin with the house of God. But if it begins first with us, what will be the end of those who disobey the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous one is saved with difficulty, where will the ungodly and sinner appear? 19 So also let those who suffer according to the will of God entrust their souls to a faithful Creator by doing good.
